How ‘The Pitt’ Tackles Death With Accuracy and Care

The unusually nuanced, realistic depiction of death and end-of-life decisions in 'The Pitt' has already had a real-world impact. Scott Gemmill co-wrote episodes 12 and 13, which drill down on death during a mass casualty incident after a musical festival shooting. “Every week you read about a mass shooting, somewhere in America, and it’s ‘thoughts and prayers, okay, let’s wait for the next one,'” says Sachs.
